GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
CLASS OF 2011
 

Grenada School District students must earn 24 credits in order to graduate.  The following are the requirements you will be expected to earn in

order to graduate with your class in May of 2011.

Pre-Algebra, Transition to Algebra, Algebra II or other higher-level math will count as well.  Any math successfully completed in 8th grade will apply toward 4 credits needed.  One unit must be higher-level than Algebra I.

Science

Biology I

Two units may be in the following courses if the student completes the 2-course sequence: Allied Health I & II, Horticulture I & II, and Technology Applications I & II.  These are taught at the Career & Technical Center.

Computer Discovery in 8th grade is accepted in lieu of these 2 courses.

In addition to successfully completing the above courses, each student entering Grenada High School in Fall of 2007 with an anticipated graduation date of

May 2011 shall have earned a passing score on the following state-mandated subject area tests: Algebra I, Biology I, English II Multiple Choice and Writing,
